This unique holistic opportunity is for people open and available to experiencing coaching and/or holistic counseling. Rather than holding the counselor as the "expert" you will (re)discover you possess both the questions and the answers. I am a non-therapist using a variety of therapeutic techniques, yet the foundation is "strengths-based empowerment theory." Instead of the counselor being viewed as the expert that the client is coming to for advice, empowerment theory holds that within each of us lives the best wisdom for our own unique life paths. The counselor plays the role of a facilitator, offering clients tools and perspectives. Counseling is generally more short term with empowerment work because clients are supported in creating their own inner and external tools and support. Together, we will identify blocks and gentle ways to embrace the lessons & tools contained within.
