Creating the habit of connecting to our breath to bring about stillness, or a sense of calm, or even elation support mental & physical wellbeing. In the world of technology, physical activity is replaced by machines, which we can control with our hands, feet, and eyes. Mental activity is enhanced while mental serenity and stability are forgotten, causing stress. Also, personal emotions and spiritual advancements are neglected. As a result, our lives seem to be easier, but at the expense of our health. This serves as an introduction into different types of "exercises" allowing you to combine activities increasing the likelyhood of honoring your commitment to your health. Emotional Expression Art
Sometimes we can experience feeling sad, sullen, depressed, angry, annoyed, and even feel stuck. We may not feel equipped to speak the emotions/feelings so drawing and painting can be supportive. Ideally, we want to allow emotions and feelings to simply pass through rather than hold onto their corresponding memories and/or habits. E(energy) + motion is the goal-keep them moving! The art experience can include one emotion per week, several per week, or we can create a specialized program just for you. Yes, this offering works for individuals, couples, and groups. Ayurveda-The Science of Life
In Ayurveda it is believed that a person should know one’s own mind-body disposition well enough to understand what foods are needed to balance their system every day, within every season. This is the path to everlasting health. Ayurveda could be perceived not only as a practice of healing, but a science of maintaining the health that was intrinsically ours since birth. You'll learn about your primary elements (or Doshas), natural cycles, tastes, and right action. You'll have a deeper understanding of who tastes and foods work for your disposition. Additionally, connections to "activities" can be discussed to support overall mind, body, and spirit wellness. Let's chat about you see for your life.
Cleansing & Fasting
Mental clarity, happiness, and healing experiences can be just some of the emotional and mental benefits of cleansing and fasting. On the physical level, cleansing and fasting can provide the body a chance to rejuvenate itself. Think of this as a way to thank your body for all it endures and allowing it to reset. Remember, fasting & cleansing is not about starving the body however, addiction to starch, processed sugars, and certain fats might be starved. In this case, that's a good thing. We all need oxygen but if you're in a fire you want to starve the supply of oxygen to put out the fire. Cleansing & fasting can put of the proverbial fire and allow the body to heal.
